Rusty Bolts

Part of the restoration is taking the rusty old bolts and making them new again.  You could probably buy new bolts but I feel its important to retain as much of the original table as possible.  Plus it just seems like a waste to throw away perfectly good bolts.

Legs

Worked on the Anniversary legs tonight.  The top shows what the legs look like after the skin of 1/8" wood and the bottom show the leg after the skin and the veneer.

Walnut Rails

The veneer arrived the other day and I was pretty pleased with the grain. The rails came out super nice.

Anniversary Progress

Was in the shop late last night and made some headway on the restoration.

Put the newly powder coated rail plates back in.  The marriage between satin black and high gloss black is like Scarlett Johansson in a bacon bikini, it just doesn't get any better.
The legs on this table were too far gone so new legs were in order.  If you have never seen inside an Anniversary leg heres your chance.

Eight Foot Anniversary Resto

Sold another Anniversary table.  Just started the restoration process.  The rails on this table were the laminate version as seen on the later tables.  The customer wanted walnut rails so the laminate was stripped and the rails were prepped for walnut veneer.  The glue they used to attach the laminate was truly unbelievable.  Took ruffly three hours to strip them down.
Pulled the rail plates and hardware and painted the underside of the rails a satin black.
Sandblasted all the rail plates and hardware and powder coated everything a mirror black.  Even know this wont ever been seen I feel it deserves a complete restoration.  If your going to take the time to do something, do it right.

Coffee Table Build

My brother picked up this old pool table frame a few years ago and decided it wasn't worth restoring.  I asked him to set it aside for...
